Dubai individuals have misconceptions about studying at university

One of my close friend living in the Dubai ( United Arab Emirates ) told me that getting an education from an traditional or online university is useless, he believed that whenever he wanted to learn something he use internet as primary source for learning and doing research, so why he should pay for tuition and join university for studying as he is already  learning from internet for free without any fixed schedule timing.

However he has a point but there are several important benefits which he is missing out by not taking formal and proper education from the university. In his reply I have highlighted some but very important benefits which will for sure change his concept that there is no benefit of studying in University and getting formal education.

Here are some benefits of getting a formal education from proper university.

1.       By studying at accredited university you will get proper university degree. Majority of employers requires University Degree and if the candidate doesn’t have a degree they don’t prefer for them for job, Canidate with no formal education and degree is the biggest and most common issue raised by employers.

2.       Studying at traditional or online university student will be able to interact with different students and professors which are helpful in case you are having with any topic.

3.       Online University students have online classes on which everybody shares their views and give feedbacks about particular topic and this will be very helpful while studying.

4.       Student will be able to improve his/her formal writing skills which will be  useful for him at the time of professional business writing.

5.       University guides students and give proper direction with resources for doing online/offline reseach. Individuals who are not  studying at any institiution might face difficulties at the time of doing research they waste their most of time just for finding out where to start  doing research.

6.       University students are provided with proper study material including textbooks, ebooks , video lectures and other course materials.

7.       Students at the university are provided proper formatted course and students have to appear in examination so they have to study with discipline , individuals are who are not studying at university are usually unable to study continuously with discipline.
